Nigerian have stormed social media to call out the organizers of the Big Brother Naija, BBNaija reality TV show over alleged extension of voting beyond deadline.
According to a report by socialite Kayode Ogundamisi, voting continued even after the deadline was set for 10pm on Friday.
He wrote on Twitter:

His claim was corroborated by another social media user who confirmed that voting actually closed by 12pm on Saturday

*** Many viewers locked Laycon as their winner and because they stand a chance of winning 1million naira each, BBN as a business venture na wants to minimize their giveaways and they have made much more oooo. Greed will not kill us

*** The fair thing to do is for cancellation of any vote cast after 10pm. I can see a plan to rig @itsLaycon out of this contest. This is just a TV show , but an unfair outcome could lead to crisis.

*** They did so cos they lost a lot of money that could have been made for they and their sponsors this season. The eviction strategy was poor. You have two housemates with little or no fan base in the finals. That means less voters, less views. Their investment hit the rocks.
