Poetry – Once Again

Advertisements

“Poetry is ordinary language raised to the Nth power. Poetry is boned with ideas, nerved, and blooded with emotions, all held together by the delicate, tough skin of words.”

Below is a nice piece from TIFE titled Once Again

From a crack, I sent it a thousand ways in pieces. The land of no return ushers it.

Please come back, I pleaded.
Those words fell against a closed wall.

I drowned in a sea of grief, as I saw the heart of a warrior go cold in a battlefield.

My head was spinning, unwilling to tolerate another love battle.

Gradually, the sky began to lose its stars.

I watched my life like I was watching grass grow.

Recklessly, I played hide and seek with my emotions.

In pains, I messed it all up.
Just as always,
I lost it all again.
