The Ekiti state Police Command has ordered the arrest of the bribe-seeking police officer who appeared in a video that went viral on Saturday.
In the video, the officer could be seen asking for a bribe from a man who he flagged down, and discovered he was driving his vehicle without a tint permit.
“I no want transfer, I want cash”, the office could be heard in the video. (See here).
In a new development, the officer has been arrested and would detained for further investigation and disciplinary action.
In a tweet posted on its handle, the Police complaint unit said the erring officer has been arrested.
“The officer who was seen in this viral video behaving in an unprofessional and corrupt manner, has been identified, arrested, disarmed and detained for further investigation and disciplinary action. Ekiti PPRO.”
