Police confirm abduction of passengers on Kogi-Abuja Highway

The Kogi State Police Command has confirmed the abduction of passengers travelling on the Kogi-Abuja road on Sunday

thedabigal recalls that an unspecified number of passengers were kidnapped on the Kogi-Abuja Road on Sunday.

However, in a statement, the command’s spokesperson, William Aya, said the police officers, local vigilantes, and hunters were already in the bush to rescue the victims.

According to the statement, the Kogi State Police Command, led by Commissioner of Police Bethrand Onuoha, has responded to the incident that occurred on Sunday by sending a tactical team comprising the Quick Response Unit, Police Mobile Force, Counter-Terrorism Unit, and other police officers to the scene.
