Police urge Jigawa residents to provide useful information to fight crime

The Jigawa State Police Command has urged residents to provide vital information to help in the fight against crime.

Commissioner of Police, CP Emmanuel Ekot Epiom, made the call in a statement signed by Police Public Relations Officer, DSP Lawan Shiisu Adam.

He said the police cannot be everywhere, but with the help and commitment from the community members crimes will be minimized.

The statement revealed that such information and commitment led to the arrest of four thieves that had been terrorizing serene environments.

“We have succeeded in the arrest of four suspected thieves and recovered a tricycle, a submersible pumping machine, a laptop and, 3 phones,” the statement said.

DSP Shiisu said the suspects confessed to committing the crimes and will be charged to court upon completion of the investigation.
