Punch journalist, neighbour’s sons kidnapped in Abuja

Gunmen have abducted Okechukwu Nnodim, a journalist with The Punch newspaper.

Nnodim, a business reporter, was seized in Abuja on Thursday.

The attackers also kidnapped two sons of his neighbour, Mrs Faith Gbeyide, a widow.

The trio were taken from an isolated and hilly Byzahin community, a suburb of Kubwa.
They gunmen gained access to the compound by jumping the fence after firing gunshots in the air.

“The gunmen broke into the room through the window before whisking their victims away in the difficult terrain.

“The FCT Police Commissioner,. Bala Ciroma and his men, have visited the community for an on-the-spot preliminary investigation into the incident,” a source told PRNigeria.
