Lorient forward Terem Moffi will likely leave the club this summer particularly if they get relegated from the French Ligue 1 this season.

21 year old Moffi has emerged as one if the most sought after young forwards in Ligue 1 after scoring 14 goals including 12 since January. His form hasn’t gone unnoticed particularly as this is his first season following his move from Belgium side Kortrijk.

Last weekend he scored a hattrick against Bordeaux in front of the senior national team coach of Nigeria Gernot Rohr who later confirmed that the forward will likely make his debut against Liberia when the World Cup qualifiers starts.

Before that time he could be playing in Germany with Bundesliga duo Borussia Dortmund and RB Leipzig keen on his services for their campaign next season.

Sources close to the player reveal to Owngoalnigeria.com that both teams have already held preliminary talks with the representative of Moffi and are only waiting for the season to end before making their move official.

Dortmund according to our source were the first to contact the player’s camp, but RB Leipzig offer of a project that will improve him and make him attract teams bigger than Dortmund in the nearest future has caused a split in the player’s camp.

A decision will be reached at the end of the season as the player is at the moment keen on finishing the season on a high with his mind set on helping Lorient beat the drop.
