Nigeria international forward Victor Osimhen was once again the star man for Napoli as they secure a well earned 2-0 win over ten man Eintracht Frankfurt of Germany.
Osimhen wasted no time in making the defence of the German side feel his presence by making himself a nuisance to the home side leading to him winning a spot kick. His teammate Kvicha Kvaratskhelia stepped up but had his effort saved.
Five minutes later Osimhen rounded up a flowing team move with a far post finish off a pass from captain Giovanni Di Lorenzo. The Italians went into the break one goal up.
The chances of Eintracht Frankfurt fighting their way back into the game was made almost impossible when top striker and their talisman Randal Kolo Muani was sent off in the 58th minute. The French man was giving his marching order after a lunge in his bid to gain control of the ball.
Napoli took advantage of the numerical superiority to score the second goal with Di Lorenzo finishing brilliantly five minutes after the hour mark. The goal ensured they go into the retun leg in Italy on the 15th of March in pole position to make it to the next round.
