Coach is the senior national team of Nigeria Gernot Rohr has given a hint on the players he sees as possible replacement for Victor Osimhen in the senior national team of Nigeria.

The coach is bracing up to the possibility of lining up his team without the Napoli record signing who suffered a head injury in their last league game against Atalanta.

Osimhem was rushed to the hospital after the game following a bad fall but reports has it that he has been discharged as he didn’t suffer any serious damage after as confirmed by tests and scans.

The time he will be out is pegged at two weeks due to the rule governing players who suffer head injuries or concussion during the course of the game. Meaning he could likely miss Nigeria’s game next month.

Rohr in an interview with NewsCentral listed the attacking department of the Super Eagles as one area where he has several options with the likes of Terem Moffi, Taiwo Awoniyi and Sadiq Umar getting a mention.

His statement should serve as a warning to the former FC Midtjylland man who has just one goal from 8 international games for Nigeria from 2019 till date although the coach insist he is in his plans.

“ There are all the time new players who try to show us their qualities all the time. When you look at this young player in Lorient Moffi, he scored the winning goal against PSG and scored a brace against Monaco and he is left footed. It will be interesting to see him when the time is favourable.

“Then we have also Awoniyi playing in Union Berlin, he is a good one then we have also in Spain for Almeria Sadiq Umar, who was the player of the month. We have also Onuachu who is playing and scoring lot of goals for his team in Belgium but has problem when he plays for Nigeria. We have lot of strikers.
