Premier League rivals, Arsenal and Chelsea will take the centre stage when the English FA Cup gets underway on Saturday (August 1) at the Wembley Stadium.
No Super Eagles player will be in action, however, two English players of Nigerian descent Bukayo Saka and Tammy Abraham should be the focus during the 139th English final.
One of them will have the privilege of lifting the trophy which a Nigerian in the person of Victor Moses last won in the colours of Chelsea in 2018 against Manchester United courtesy of a 22nd-minute penalty by Eden Hazard.
Because they have Nigerian roots in their blood, they will still join the likes of Nwankwo Kanu, John Utaka, Alex Iwobi, Victor Moses, John Mikel Obi, Daniel Amokachi and Celestine Babayaro to kiss the trophy.
While Mikel holds the record of winning the title four times with Chelsea, Amokachi was the first Nigerian to ever to play in the English FA Cup which was in 1995 against Manchester United which they won by a lone goal.

Meanwhile, Kanu remains the only Nigerian to have won the FA Cup with two clubs namely Arsenal in 2002, 2003 and Portsmouth in 2008.
