
The Nigeria Football Federation has approved the re-instatement of Salisu Yusuf as assistant coach of the Super Eagles and also head coach of the Super Eagles B team with effect from 1st of November.
Yusuf will play the role of first assistant to head coach of the team Gernot Rohr who specifically asked for the return of his former assistant who was suspended after getting involved in a cash for spot scandal while at the helm as head coach of the B team.
Rohr’s assistant Joseph Yobo Will now move to the role of second assistant and third in the coaching hierarchy of the Super Eagles as they get set for the business end of the World Cup qualifiers starting next month.
Nigeria will take on Liberia before returning home to play Cape Verde in their final group game of the qualifiers. Victory will see them progress to the final round which will be on home and away basis against other group winners.
