
Samu Chukwueze has reached 100 games with Villarreal’s first team after starting in the 4-1 Copa del Rey win against Zamora CF.
The Nigerian forward has reached the 100-game mark (79 in LaLiga, 13 in the Europa League and eight in the Copa del Rey), aged just 21 years, seven months and 11 days, becoming the youngest player to reach this mark in official games for the Villarreal CF first team”; per a statement on the club website.
He marked the milestone with an assist in the game to further underline his remarkable rise from the Yellows Academy to the main team as he beats Mateo Musacchio’s record, who reached the centenary mark aged 21 years, 11 months and 20 days.
In the 100 games he has played so far he has 14 goals and 14 assists. A not too impressive record judging by his qualities and even present coach of the team Unai Emery has urged him to build on his decision making in the final third.
