Emanuel Emegha grabbed the headlines yesterday for scoring what ended as a consolation goal for Sparta Rotterdam in their 1-2 pre season loss to Borussia Dortmund.
The 17 year old who is born to a Dutch mother and a Nigerian father has been tipped to be among one of the breakaway stars of the Eredivisie next season with the way he has acquitted himself in pre season so far.
If that happens it will naturally trigger a tug for his international future as he is eligible to play for both Nigeria and the Netherlands but hasn’t represented any of the country at any level.
At the moment, the forward sees his international future more with Nigeria than the Netherlands and only recently he granted an interview where he picked Napoli and Nigeria international striker Victor Osimhen as his idol.
Blessed with pace, power and skill his fearless nature despite playing among older people has caught the eyes particularly the way he takes his chances when they come his way.

This is good for Nigeria football because it create avenue for competition and help the coach to select the best to represent our country. I hope the NFF president is listening and he should keep to his word of two weeks with the Philip Consulting in giving us the age-group coaches so that they can get to work and invite these players to play for Nigeria before they are invited by Holland. Mr.Amaju Pinnick, please dont disappoint on your promise of giving us the coaches of the Age-grade (i.e U17 and U20 for male and female)and the Senior Female Coach. You promised two weeks and we have started counting down. One week is almost gone. We are waiting patiently. Do not disappoint on this promise for the first time. and we will be happy.
