The club future of Nigeria U20 winger Thompson Ishaka will likely be settled soon following his return to Scottish side Rangers, where he had trials with the team in the summer, OGN understands.

Ishaka who is seen as one of the top prospect at London based Brooke House Academy is said to have impressed during trials especially in the games he played during the course of his stay at the club.

Sources claimed an agreement wasn’t reached between his primary owners and the club with his club wanting a fee of around £1m but that doesn’t appear to be the case according to what we recently gathered.

We heard the club deferred their decision on his signing till after a second assessment which was planned for this point in time with the B team set for a tournament in Morocco.

He will travel with the B team to Morocco for a tournament after which a decision is expected to be reached on his potential signing. Ishaka was with the Nigeria U20 team during their camping in Abuja ahead of the U20 Africa Cup of Nations.

The team is presently at the tournament in Egypt and started their campaign on a poor note losing 0-1 to Senegal in their first game. They will take on the host in their second group game tomorrow.
