The Police Command in Plateau State has arrested seven persons in connection to the abduction of Chibi Dariye,father of former Plateau State Governor, Joshua Dariye.
Recall that Chibi Dariye, who was first abducted in 2015 and released after a ransom was paid by his family, was kidnapped again in June 2020 in Mushere village in Bokkos Local Government Area of Plateau State.
Police spokesperson in the state, Ubah Gabriel who confirmed the development to newsmen said a joint operation of security operatives from headquarters in Abuja led to the arrest of the suspects.
“The 26-member criminal gang to which the suspects allegedly belong, had reportedly been carrying out armed robbery and kidnapping in Bokkos LGA.
“The eight members of the criminal gang arrested include Jethron Ngusen, who is the mastermind; Sunday Ibrahim, Titus Ezikiel,Ya’u Saidu aka Ya’u Kaban, and Dauda Isah.
“Others are Mangut Shumuwar, and Henry Amos all in Mushere district of Bokkos LGA of the state,” he said.
