A Nigerian man has taken to Twitter to reveal the heartbreaking and traumatizing reason he ended his relationship with his ex-girlfriend.
The man with Twitter handle @Capt_Aliyu explained that he had been dating his girlfriend for about a year and wanted to test her loyalty by pretending to be someone else who is interested in her.
He said he sent her a message with another number and asked about her relationship status. To his utmost surprise, she claimed to be single and said she ended her previous relationship because her ex-boyfriend looked like a lizard.
Out of curiosity, he asked to see a picture of her ex-boyfriend and she sent his picture to him. Following the shocking conversation, he said he was shattered and heartbroken, and had to break up with her.
He tweeted,
“I discovered that she was not genuinely interested in me, and was merely toying with my emotions. It happened when we were approaching the one-year mark, a beautiful Friday morning I can’t forget. So and i text this girl with a different number trying to be another guy…
long story short she told me she hasn’t dated in 6years and that the one she dated looked like a lizard that’s why she broke up with him, I then asked her to send me the guys pic and she sent my pic as the lizard. it was a heartbreaking realization,nd it made me question love.”
