Shooting Stars head coach, Gbenga Ogunbote has assured the team’s fans of a better performance next season.

The Oluyole Warriors flirted with relegation in the 2022/23 season but eventually ended the season strongly.

Ogunbote admitted that the team failed to meet up to expectations during the last campaign following their failure to qualify for the Nigeria Premier League Super Six playoffs.

“I want to assure our fans and the people of Oyo State we will represent them well next season and bring joy to their faces.

“I want to appeal to all of us to understand and look at the circumstances surrounding our games. Sorry for the results we got last season.

“We enjoin you [fans] to continue to give us support. Constructive criticism is allowed and helpful, nobody knows it all. We are just here to discharge our responsibilities which of course, by His grace, we are going to do,” he said.
