Sergio Busquets limped out of Spain’s match against Switzerland on Saturday night and medical tests have confirmed that the midfielder has a mild external collateral ligament sprain in his left knee.
This means he won’t face Germany in La Roja’s crucial Nations League match on Tuesday night, but he will stay with the national team squad.

It is also likely that Busquets will miss Barcelona’s Saturday night LaLiga Santander trip to face Atletico Madrid at the Estadio Wanda Metropolitano.
This means that Ronald Koeman is now without one of his most important midfielders, with the Catalan having started every league match so far this season. Miralem Pjanic, who is with the Bosnian national team until Wednesday, is the logical replacement.
