Chelsea forward Tammy Abraham has sent words of encouragement to Crystal Palace midfielder Ebere Eze following the poor performance of the English U21 team at the European Championship.
The English team with Eze who snubbed a chance to be part of the senior national team of Nigeria to play for the U21s of England exited the tournament without winning a single game.
Eze started only one game and it was their final group games and despite scoring one of the goals that handed them a 2-0 lead, he watched on as Croatia rallied back to draw 2-2 and send them packing from the tournament.
Reacting to their exit from the tournament where they were seen as one of the favourites, Eze tagged their exit as a tough one to take but ended up by saying its the will of God that shouldn’t be questioned.
“ Tough one to take but we will all bounce back. Thank you God for this opportunity! Your will, not mine”, he posted in Instagram.
Abraham who also turned down Nigeria for England and suffered almost same disappointment with the U21 at the 2019 Euros was quick to cheer him up “ We go again brother”, he reacted.
Both players still have dreams of representing England at senior level with Abraham capped six times although he hasn’t been a part of their last four squads for games.
