Nigerian businessman Femi Otedola’s daughter, Temi Otedola has disclosed in an interview with Korty that the poorest she has ever been is 1200 dollars.
The Otedola’s, which is a family of six, including their parents are one of the richest and prestigious family in Nigeria.
The Nigerian actress, who got married to popular singer Mr Eazi, shared the circumstances that led to her being broke.
During the interview, Korty asked the actress, ‘What is the brokest (poorest) she has ever been?’ She initially reacted hilariously because she was not expecting such a question.
She then proceeded to answer the question after laughing her heart out, saying the poorest she has been is 1200 dollars.
Sharing the story that led to her being broke, she revealed that she had gone to work at a retail store after her mum stopped giving pocket money.
She said,
“One summer, when I was 15 my mum basically said that this is the year we stop giving you pocket money so if you want any money for summer you have to go and work. So that’s the summer I went to work in retail stores, I did like three different retail stores Like just folding clothes, you go to the stock room get clothes… so then that year when I went to festivals with my friends I was like okay this is the money I earned, End of that summer I had made $1200.”
Temi also mentioned that she would recommend that kind of job for a child because you will start learning the value of money.
