“They stole my Givenchy perfume” – Man laments after his bag was allegedly broken into by airport staff

A Germany-based Nigerian man has lamented bitterly after his bag was allegedly broken into by some airport staff in Nigeria.

Taking to Twitter to share his ordeal, the man with handle @Rashiid9, said he arrived Nigeria recently after being away for four years, and was welcomed with a big blow.

He said his travelling bag which costs about 400 euros was destroyed by a yet-to-be airport employee who carted away some of his valuables, including a Givenchy perfume.

Infuriated by the experience, the man went online to share a photo of the box with spoilt zipper.

He tweeted, “This was how Nigeria airport staff welcomed me home after 4 years, stole my givenchy perfume, other perfumes, bags etc . asin I even bought this traveling bag for almost 400 euros”

Just recently, a Nigerian On Air Personality, Ope also took to social media to express outrage after her box was allegedly broken into at the Murtala Mohammed International Airport, Lagos.

Ope, who flew into Nigeria from London on Monday, December 13, said upon her arrival, she discovered that her brand new box had been damaged and broken into.

The distraught lady called the attention of the appropriate authorities including the airport management, FAAN, Virgin Atlantic, and expressed disappointment in them for failing to secure her luggage properly.

Sharing photos of the damaged box, she tweeted,

“Is it acceptable to return to my country after some time off to see that the brand new box I checked in at London-Heathrow was broken into at MMA Lagos? Why ?”
