The rise of little known 19 year old Nigerian forward Morufdeen Moshood has been astonishing with the forward who only joined the team in January scoring as many as 20 goals this season, OwnGoalNigeria.com reports.

Signed from the feeders team of Nigeria Professional Football League side Remo Stars, the 19 year old has turned out to be one of the hottest prospects at Leixões turning out for the U19 and U23 team of the second division Portuguese side.

For the U19 he scored six goals in seven games and was handed promotion to the U23, where he wasted no time in making his mark scoring 14 goal in eight games including three hattricks. He is set for quick promotion to the first team.

Sources in Portugal are also reporting that his spell hasn’t gone unnoticed with top teams in Portugal keen on recruiting him to their B youth teams. Leixões on their part wants to keep him for at least another season before making a decision on his potential sale.
