He has not been selected in the squad for several games this season, prompting questions about his future at the club.

And Sky Sports News reports Spurs boss Jose Mourinho wants a centre-back, and would like Rudiger if a deal can be done.
Spurs’ main target is Milan Skriniar from Inter Milan, but he may prove too expensive.
