Transfer: Nigerian forward, Sasere joins 20-time Hungarian champions

Nigeria forward, Franklin Sasere has linked up with 20-time Hungarian champions Ujpest FC.

Sasere who joined Nigerian duo Vincent Onovo and Peter Ambrose at Ujpest, arrived from Liechtenstein club, FC Vaduz.

The length of the contract and transfer fee were not disclosed by the club.

The former Sunshine Stars player scored 10 goals and provided six assists in 48 games across all competitions for FC Vaduz.

The 25-year-old who joined Vaduz last summer recently signed a new two-year contract but asked to leave the club for family reasons.

FC Vaduz Sports Director, Franz Burgmeier thanked the player for his commitment during his time at the club.

“We would like to thank Franklin for the services he has rendered and his commitment to FC Vaduz and wish him all the best, both in sport and in his private life, and above all good health,” Burgmeier was quoted by the club’s official website.
