Villarreal are reportedly interested in signing out-of-favoured Barcelona attacker Ferran Torres as a potential replacement for Samuel Chukwueze, who has been linked with Real Madrid.
According to Fichajes, Torres is not needed at Barcelona and could be sold this summer with Villarreal interested in the former Manchester City star.
Apart from Real Madrid, Chukwueze has also been linked with AC Milan.
The Nigerian international has entered the final year of his contract with Villarreal.
Real Madrid have been tracking the 24-year-old’s situation to strengthen their flanks.
The Los Blancos have lost Marco Asensio on a free transfer to Paris Saint-Germain while Karim Benzema joined Saudi Arabian side Al-Ittihad last month.
Villarreal, meanwhile, would have to sign a quality forward to fill the void left by Chukwueze’s potential exit.
Torres has failed to impress at Barcelona since his €55 million transfer from Manchester City in January 2022.
