The list for the senior national team of Nigeria for their October friendly might see two former German youth international players and a goalkeeper born abroad getting their first call up.
Owngoalnigeria.com exclusively gathered that coach of the team Gernot Rohr has already gotten the nod to include the players named above but some administrative issues still need to be sorted.
One among the unnamed players is yet to get his Nigerian passport while another is waiting to get the all clear from FIFA ahead of the games which will be played in Austria on the 9th and 13th of October against Côte d’Ivoire and Tunisia respectively.
“ Rohr was in Germany few days ago and talks were very good with two former German youth international. They are both defenders and there is a goalkeeper who is also in the plans. He was born abroad “, a source told Owngoalnigeria.com.
“ All is set for them to be called up but we need to get approval from FIFA on two and the other need to get a Nigerian passport. We will see if it will be possible before the games”, he concluded.
