The sprint king will be getting the video game treatment.

The world’s fastest man will grace FIFA 19 sooner or later with EA Sports confirming Usain Bolt will be added to the popular game.

After retiring from athletics in 2017, Bolt is attempting to become a professional footballer and is on trial with Australian club Central Coast Mariners. The sprint king scored twice for the side in his first start in an exhibition match on Friday as he attracted the attention of potential European suitors.

While the Mariners are coy on whether they’ll offer him a contract, EA confirmed that regardless, Bolt will be playable in FIFA 19 very soon.

“If Usain is picked up by the Central Coast Mariners then he will automatically be included in the winter update or the next major update,” a source from EA told Fox Sports Asia.

“But if he isn’t listed then he might be included as a free agent.

“Yes, he will also be the fastest player in the game.”

Though his speed will no doubt be a big draw card, the 32-year-old’s football skills still leave a lot to be desired.

Bolt himself admitted that though his football skills are getting better, there’s still plenty of work ahead as he looks to conquer the football pitch.

“I’ve improved in every area,” Bolt told Fox Sports.

“I think my touch is a little bit better, my vision needs to improve a little bit more. I think running off the ball is where I’ve improved the most, I can see and move into space.

“But there’s a lot more to learn. I’ve just got to continue learning and getting better.”
