Media personality, Daddy Freeze has taken to social media to counter those castigating some Nigerian artistes for performing at political events.
This comes in the light of the forthcoming general elections in 2023.
There has been an online debate about it as people question if it is right and wrong, and if the artistes are indirectly endorsing the political candidates.
Reacting, the controversial social media commentator in a post shared on his Instagram page, disagreed with the notion that it is wrong and said it’s simply business.
According to him, an artiste who performs at a political event at a specified fee is simply earning a living, just like the caterers and other workers at the event.
He wrote,

Also remember that if you don’t want to be a hypocrite, don’t clamp down on artistes alone, remember to include caterers, event venue owners, drink suppliers, ushers, security personnel etc. at the events.

I included the Gospel acts because in Nigeria, gospel is not a calling, rather a business; unless we want to lie to ourselves.????

Personally, I will interview any political leader who wants to use my services or my platform, at my current going rate; plus the surcharge for political events/candidates.
