Waje was one of the various singers at the United Nations Youth Climate Summit as young leaders from around the world gathered on Saturday, September 21 at the United Nations Headquarters in New York.
According to the United Nations Official website, the UN Youth Climate Summit is a platform for young leaders who are driving climate action to showcase their solutions at the United Nations, and to meaningfully engage with decision-makers on the defining issue of our time.
Sharing how she was running late for soundcheck even “Woman Wahala” couldn’t stop strong Waje from performing at the event. She wrote,

So here’s the story
This new Yorker was running late for soundcheck and then woman wahala started so we made a quick stop at a pharmacy but made it in time for rehearsals.
It’s surreal people. I’ll be performing at the UNITED NATIONS YOUTH CLIMATE SUMMIT.
First of its kind! 1000 young people in one room and your waje will be part of the conversation.
Thank you to @greatgreenwallafrica my sister @innamodjaofficiel for making me a part of this.
Wish me luck my people. I’ll keep you posted
