Watford boss, Roy Hodgson, concedes their clash with Brentford is a must-win.

Hodgson says they need three points to stay in touch with teams immediately above the dropzone.

He said, “We knew Leeds were going to be hard to beat and we know Brentford are going to be hard to be beat, but the opportunity exists for us.

“We are fully aware that unless we start getting three points from some of these games, we are going to slip even further behind.”

On Bees star Christian Eriksen, Hodgson said: “It is great credit to him. Great credit to the desire he’s had to play. And great credit to the medical treatment he’s had.”

Hodgson also spoke of Sean Dyche’s sacking by Burnley.

“It is a shock. An enormous surprise. I must say of all the people in the league, he would have been one of the ones most likely to survive anything like this.”
