Many Nigerians have cried out to singer-turned-politician Banky W to uphold his promises and not disappoint them as actor-turned-politician Desmond Elliot did, after winning the Peoples Democratic Party primary elections to fight the Eti-Osa federal constituency seat.
Banky W fought for a seat in the National Assembly under the People’s Democratic Party umbrella, and according to a video demonstrating how the votes were tabulated, Banky W won by 28 votes over his opponent who received only three votes.
After winning the primaries, Banky will run for the House of Representatives in the 2018 election.
Some Nigerian youths compared him to Desmond Elliot, a Lagos legislator who turned his back on the country.
