Social media commentator, Reno Omokri has reacted to the re-arrest of 21-year-old Gloria Okolie over claims of being an IPOB spy.
The young lady was arrested in 2021 and was incarcerated for nine months at the Suleja correctional centre in Niger state, before she finally met her bail conditions last week.
However, shortly after she got out of the correctional facility, she was picked up again by the Imo State Police Command acting on the orders of the Divisional Police Officer of Shell Police Station.
Reacting to this development, Reno took to his social media page to ask why she was arrested on suspicion of being an IPOB spy, whereas Sheikh Gumi who meets with bandits and negotiates on their behalf has never been arrested.
Sharing a photo of Gloria, Reno wrote,
“21 year old Gloria Okolie has been re arrested by the Nigerian Police on suspicion on being an IPOB spy. So, why haven’t the Police arrested Sheikh Gumi, a man who knows the whereabouts of terrorists, and regularly meets with them, and advocates for their interests?”
