Popular Nigerian musician, Chidinmma Ekile has shared the reason behind her decision to stop singing secular music.

Chidinmma, who quit secular music to return to her roots, gospel, in 2021, made this known in a video on her YouTube page on Wednesday, April 3.

According to the “Kedike” singer, despite her success after winning Project Fame in 2010, she felt empty.

She noted that the emptiness made her reconnect with her source (God).

“I was looking for my fulfillment, but I didn’t find it until I reconnected with my source,” she said.

In other news, veteran Nollywood actress, Genevieve Nnaji celebrated her 44th birthday in style with close friends and loved ones.

The thespian turned 44 on Wednesday, May 3rd and was widely celebrated on social media by colleagues and fans.
