Nigeria international midfielder Wilfred Ndidi has changed his agent ahead of the opening of the transfer window in January, OwnGoalNigeria.com reports.
Ndidi has left Germany-based FirstEleven International Sports Management firm to team up with Octagon per a post by an agent Rory Rebbeck who works with the agency.
He posted on social media platform LinkedIn that he was ‘delighted’ to announce that Ndidi has signed up with his stable saying the Nigerian has “many great years ahead on and off the field”
Ndidi’s decision to switch agent is seen by many as the first step towards a move away from Leicester City, where he still has a contract that will run till 2024 per the extension he signed in 2018.
Reports in Spain has it that Real Madrid are seriously considering a january bid for the Nigerian as he is greatly loved by coach Carlo Ancelotti. They are however concerns as he will be with the senior national team of Nigeria for the Africa Cup of Nations during the period when the window is open.
The reports says a move in the summer will most likely be his best bet but even that too is dependent on Real Madrid agreeing to pay in excess of over £60 million, which is what Leicester City are reported to be demanding as his transfer fee.
