The Nguru Local Government Education Authority in Yobe State said it is determined to reposition and uplift the standard of education in the area.

The LG Education Secretary, Mallam Hamisu Ado Nguru, made this known on Thursday while flagging off the 2023 Enrolment Drive and Back-to-School Campaign in partnership with UNICEF Maiduguri Field Office.

According to him, the administration of Governor Mai Mala Buni is committed to ensuring that all out-of-school children return to school, no matter their challenges.

“The current government in Yobe State has created the Education Trust Fund to intervene in the provision of necessary educational materials for the enhancement of academic activities in primary and secondary schools across the state,” Hamisu said.

The Education Secretary commended USAID and UNICEF, among other development partners, for their immeasurable support to the education sector in the area.

“I want to assure them that we shall expand and deepen our collaboration with them for quality education in Nguru Local Government,” he stated.
