Roma forward Tammy Abraham spoke with Nigeria international striker Victor Osimhen after his team crashed to a 0-1 defeat against Napoli with the Nigerian scoring the decisive goal.
Both strikers led the lines for their respective teams in the game and they could easily have been colleagues at international level if Abraham had accepted to play for Nigeria instead of England.
As a matter of fact, the former president of the Nigeria Football Federation (NFF) Amaju Pinnick claimed he has committed to Nigeria in 2018 while he was still at Chelsea, but the forward swiftly denied the report. He has since made over 11 appearances for England.
Yesterday both strikers came head to head and Osimhen emerged victorious with what was his 4th league goal of the season l,two more than Abraham who has played five games more than the Nigerian.
In a post match video which has now gone viral, Osimhen tried to cheer Abraham up but the unhappy Roma striker wasn’t in the mood and told the Nigerian how his goal has dampened the spirit in the dressing room of Roma. “You made the whole locker room sad”, he said in the video posted by Nigerian journalist Oma Akatugba.
