A bandit informant, who was recently arrested with two other informants by security operatives in Zamfara State over the insecurity in Dansadau Emirate of the state, has reportedly set himself ablaze.

This was revealed to newsmen in Gusau, the state capital, by a lawmaker representing Maru South, Hon. Kabiru Hashimu Dansadau Dawache Kazo.

According to him, “based on the reliable information we have gathered, the informant who is a close ally of the suspended Emir of Dansadau decided to set himself ablaze to avoid releasing information that may be injurious to the Emir.

“The other two suspects had already mentioned over 30 other informants who are directly involved in aiding armed bandits activities and are currently being tracked by the security operatives”

The lawmaker maintained that the crises in the Dansadau axis had worsened because of the activities of the informants who are known among most people of the area.

He said that the Dansadau area is still not accessible because of the unending terror attacks by the armed bandits.

“The bandits had already sent messages that unless the Emir is released from the security agencies, there would be no peace in Dansadau emirate,” he added.

According to him, Governor Bello Mohammed Matawalle is making concerted effort to make sure that peace is restored in Dansadau area and its environs.
