Zamfara United head coach Alhassan Mohammed has said that their Nigeria National League opening-day fixture against Nasarawa United will be a tight contest.
Nasarawa United will host Zamfara United at the Lafia City Stadium this weekend.
Alhassan said the Solid Miners will be desperate to secure victory in the encounter.
He, however, assured that Zamfara United would be adequately prepared for the game.
“The game against Nasarawa United is going to be a tight game,” Alhassan told the club’s media.
“Nasarawa United will be aiming to kick-start their NNL campaign with a victory to give their promotion target a boost. We are ready to give our best to record victory, as we are going to prepare adequately for the game.”
The new NNL season will commence on Saturday, November 11.
