22 Goals, 12 Assists – Super Eagles Prospect Joins Bayern Leverkusen From Belgium Side

Belgium top division side Union Saint-Gilloise have agreed a deal with German Bundesliga side Bayern Leverkusen for the transfer of Nigerian striker Victor Boniface, OwnGoalNigeria.com can exclusively reveal.

Boniface caught the attention of top teams in Europe after an astonishing debut season in Belgium where he found the back of the net 22 times and also picked up 12 assists. He was joint top scorer in the Europa League with Marcus Rashford of Manchester United on six goals each.

His form placed him on the radar of lot of teams in Europe but in a week where he has been heavily linked with a move to Everton, German Bundesliga side but Bayern Leverkusen have clinched his signing on a five year deal.

A transfer fee in the bracket of €20m has been agreed for the 22 year who joined the team last summer from Norwegian side Bodo/Glimt. He will now join the team he scored against in the quarter final of the Europa League last season.

It is believed that Leverkusen used part of the money they will make from the departure of Moussa Diaby to English Premier League side Aston Villa to sign the Nigerian who will play his last game for the Belgium side later today in a pre season game against K.V. Oostende.
