AC Milan chief Paolo Maldini admits they won’t up their new contract offer to Franck Kessie.

The midfielder’s deal expires in June and he has received a pre-contract proposal from Barcelona.

Maldini said: “It’s only natural, his contract is running down and we have not yet reached an agreement. The club has made its position clear and we will not move from that.”

The football chief was also asked about Zlatan Ibrahimovic’s situation.

Maldini added: “He is a winner, so it’s only right that he says that. Hopefully we can win something and he will still have a future with us. His main focus now has to be getting back to full fitness.”
