The promotion of Nigeria U20 midfielder Victor Eletu to the first team of Italian Serie A giants AC Milan will see him work with coach Stefano Pioli when the team resumes for pre season training, Owngoalnigeria.com reports.
Eletu According to Daniele Longo of Calciomercato.com – via Juan Coronel on Twitter – is among the three players from Ignazio Abate Primavera side that Pioli has decided to give the chance to show what they can do at Milanello.
Hugo Cuenca, and the Chaka Traoré complete the list of the youth team players who will be part of the preseason with the Milan first team. While Eletu and Traore could then be sent out on loan to gain more experience, Cuenca is largely tipped to stay.
18 year old Eletu, who represented Nigeria at the U20 World Cup in Argentina was one of the revelation of the B team last season after his progression through the ranks from the U14 to the main team.
The former Prince Kazeem Eletu Academy prospect has now racked up 48 games for Milan Primavera playing mostly as a defensive midfielder with one goal and three assists to his name. The club believe a temporary move to a club where he is sure of getting regular club games will aid his growth.
