This month of August, Nollywood goddesses Dakore Egbuson-Akande and Adesua Etomi-Wellington are the cover stars for Accelerate TV’s The Cover magazine.
They shared their journey through Nollywood, most outrageous on-set experiences and unique roles in the new movie, The Set Up.
On her acting journey, Dakore said: “I didn’t realize I could act. I knew I was dramatic, extra sometimes, loved music but I never really thought about myself as an actor (as she prefers to be addressed) I just stumbled into it and I did it with a 100%.”
Adesua said she knew she wanted to go into acting from when she was 7 years old. “I didn’t tell my parents I wanted to act until I was 19 or 20 and I remember having the conversation with my mum and she said; if this is what you want to do, then go for it,” she said.
