AFCON Final- DR Congo Defender Warns Super Eagles Players To Be Wary Of Home Advantage Against The Host

Dr Congo defender Dylan Batubinsika has warned the Super Eagles of Nigeria to be wary of home advantage when they take on the host Cote d’Ivoire in today’s Africa Cup of Nations final game, OwnGoalNigeria.com reports.

Nigeria will later today by 9pm ( WAT) take on the Elephants of Cote d’Ivoire looking for their fourth AFCON trophy, while the host are gunning for their third trophy of the tournament. It will be the second time that both teams will meet at the tournament.

Nigeria won the first encounter 1-0, which was in the group stage but Batubinsika was a part of the Congo Dr team that lost 0-1 in the semi final to the host has a very strong warning for them ahead of today’s game .

Speaking on today’s final, he warned the Super Eagles to be aware of the fact that as host their opponent stand at an advantage, but also said anything can happen since it’s a final game.

“Playing at home could be an advantage for Cote D’Ivoire. Nigeria is a very good team. This is a final and nothing is done yet while pointing out that home advantage can be to the host favour.
