Team Nigeria won six more gold medals in the weightlifting event at the 13th African Games on Tuesday.
Ruth Ayodele won three gold medals in the 64kg, lifting total (208kg), snatch (94kg), and clean and jerk (114kg).
Also, Joy Eze won three gold medals in the 71kg, lifting total (207kg), snatch (90kg), clean and jerk (117kg).
Nigeria has total domination in the weightlifting event at the games.
Meanwhile, the quartet of Colins Ebingha, Clinton Opute, Abduljabar Adama and Tobi Sijuade won bronze medal in men’s 4x100m freestyle relay with a time of 3:26.01s.
South Africa won the gold medal in 3:23.86s and Egypt silver medal in 3:25.43s.
