Former governor of Abia State Orji Uzor Kalu has been declared winner of the Abia North senatorial election.
Daily Trust reports that Kalu, who ran under the All Progressives Congress (APC) won with 30,580 votes against his closest rival and incumbent Senator Mao Ohuabunwa of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) who polled 21,940 votes.
