Arsenal teen star Joel Ideho is in the camp of Nigeria less than 24 hours after head coach of the Nigeria U20 team Ladan Bosso said he is in the dark over his inclusion of due to his club not responding to the letter of invitation sent to them.

He arrived the camp of the team in Abuja yesterday and this time around he came ready as the documentation which denied him a spot in the team for the U20 Africa Cup of Nations has been sorted.

Ideho was at the camp of the team for the African U20 Cup of Nations and he made a huge impression on the technical crew of the team led by Ladan Bosso, but was not able to make the team for the tournament largely due to administrative issues.

As at that time, the 19 year old who was born in the Netherlands wasn’t in possession of a Nigerian passport and efforts to get him one proved abortive due to shortage of booklets at the Nigeria immigration offices.

Bosso penciled him down for the World Cup and sent him an invitation to be a part of the team’s camp in Abuja and yesterday he arrived to start the process of winning a spot in the team much to the delight of coach Ladan Bosso.

” He is here with us now but like every player he has to fight for a spot in the team. When he was here he showed us what he can do and we are hoping to see an improvement on that particularly as he now has a Nigerian passport”, the coach told OGN.
