Manchester United forward, Cristiano Ronaldo, has finished in sixth place at this year’s Ballon d’Or award.

In the top 10, Ronaldo is only ahead of Kylian Mbappe (9th, PSG), Kevin de Bruyne (8th, Manchester City), Mohammed Salah (7th, Liverpool) and Gigi Donnarumma (10th, PSG).

The 36-year-old stayed away from Monday’s event in Paris, France.

Just before the ceremony started, Ronaldo lashed out at France Football’s Pascal Ferre, over his recent comments.

Ferre last week, claimed Ronaldo had told him his “only ambition” was to “retire with more Ballon d’Or [wins] than Messi”.

However, the Portugal captain, in an Instagram post shortly before the Ballon d’Or ceremony, accused Ferre of lying.
