Beware of Aribo, Kent Tedesco warns Leipzig – Sporting Life

Leipzig manager Domenico Tedesco has warned his boys against blinking as they face Scottish side Rangers Thursday in the Europa league. Tedesco who described Rangers as a formidable side tipped Nigeria international Joe Aribo to rattle his side if given the space to operate. Ryan Kent he further said could be another tomemtor in chief adding that his boys must resist the temptation to lose focus.

Leipzig will take on Rangers on Thursday in the first leg of the Europa League semi-final at the Red Bull Arena,Germany.

This will be the seventh time the Gers have appeared in the last four of a major European competition.

Speaking to a news conference ahead of the encounter Tedesco who appeared to have taken not of all matches involving his opponent in recent times said;

“They lost six matches in Europe but you have to look at how they lost,who did they beat ?,” Tedesco questioned,”Tedesco told a press conference.

“They eliminated Dortmund which tells us all.

“We are aware of their qualities,they’re physically strong and always match their opponents.

“They’re similar to Union Berlin,man-oriented, very strong, strong on the wings,they have great individuals.

“For example,Ryan Kent really sticks out.

“It’s a semi-final,if you achieve this target you can be sure you are a strong team.

“We know that Roofe will miss the game,they can play Aribo as a No 10,he is strong in the half spaces, and they also have Fashion JR.

“They have strong players with a lot of speed.“Any player that plays in the forward areas for them is strong.”

Aribo who will be missing the World cup in Qatar following Nigeria’s failure to qualify for the Mundial has recorded assists in 14 Europa Cup games this season.
