Croatian striker Mario Mandzukic has completed his move from Juventus to Qatari side Al-Duhail, ending speculation of a transfer to Manchester United.

The Croatian striker has been out-of-favour in Turin under new manager Maurizio Sarri this season, and has constantly been linked with a move away from the Serie A champions.

Manchester United were reportedly interested in the 33-year-old’s signature but the World Cup runner-up has instead opted for pastures new in the Middle East.

Al-Duhail currently lead the Qatar Stars League by four points after 11 matches.

The Croat was first spotted in Qatar on Monday as he finalised his move, after a four-year stay in Italy with Juventus.

Mandzukic’s future with Juve was all but over when he was excluded from the club’s Christmas celebrations earlier this month.

Juventus boss Maurizio Sarri has not used him once in the first team so far this season, with the forward resigned to his fate.

He was used regularly under previous manager Massimiliano Allegri, and won four Serie A titles and three Coppa Italia crowns during his time at the club.

Mandzukic also scored a memorable bicycle-kick in the 2017 Champions League final against Real Madrid, who eventually ran out 4-1 winners.
