Nigeria international forward Victor Osimhen was very unhappy with the decision of the coach of Napoli Rudi Garcia to sub him off during the course of their 0-0 draw against Bologna in the Italian Serie A.

Osimhen was subbed off in the 86th minute for Giovanni Simeone, fourteen minutes after he missed the chance of putting his team in the lead, when he missed from the spot. It was also a chance for the 25 year old to add to his tally of three goals in the opening five games of their title defence.

With the team yet to really hit the ground running under new coach Garcia, who replaced Luciano Spalletti at the end of last season the spotlight has been heavy on the angry outburst of the Nigerian following his substitution.

There are times and moments, if you do it with a coach in difficulty it’s different from doing it with a strong coach. I wouldn’t want the players’ attitude to be that of someone who says he won. Osimhen made a public attack and tomorrow he must publicly apologize to the coach, otherwise it becomes unpleasant. And otherwise someone else will do it next time .” Sky Sports Italia journalist Fabio Caressa said.
